Mike Atherton did not apply for a visa to commentate in the upcoming tri-series in Pakistan. He did not intend to go to Pakistan due it being a busy winter for him where he will be commentating on other series #Cricket #PAKvENG #PAKvSL

It’s almost immaterial whether it was a wide or not. The game falls apart if an umpire’s decision can be overturned following aggressive gesticulation from a player.

Wide or no wide, you have to respect the Umpire's decision. If you bully your way into getting a decision reversed it's a terrible look for our sport. Well fought, Japan 👏🏽

This is disgraceful. Regardless if you think it’s a wide or not. Pressuring the umpire and the decision being changed is terrible.

Whether it was a wide or not is secondary. How do you just order an umpire to overturn his decision? It could have gone to a Super Over, or Japan could have won. That ending was an absolute disgrace.

It's coming up to October, and there were 789 runs scored in the match. Move on.
ECB pitch inspector Andy Mackay is conducting a thorough examination of this pitch at Headingley alongside groundsman Richie Robinson. Mackay here after match officials expressed concern over surface.

I don’t understand the uproar about the poor turnout at Edgbaston today. England are 2-0 up against the worst Pakistan side seen for decades. We’re talking about a team who can’t bat for more than 40 overs. Why would people take a day off and spend hard earned money on that?

I think the biggest thing I’ve learnt from this Kuggeleijn signing is that a lot of people don’t seem to grasp that being deemed ‘not guilty’ in a court of law by no means makes you innocent, a good person or immune from the consequence of your own actions

🚨CN: discussion of rape🚨 Kuggeleijn was tried for rape twice. In his 1st trial he said, "She might have said ‘no, no’ a few times but it wasn’t dozens of times." His lawyer claimed she gave 'reluctant consent'. There's no such thing as reluctant consent. That is not consent.
hampshire signing scott kuggeleijn an absolutely shameful move if true - plenty of other bang average bowlers in the sea...

It was literally over a whole weekend. 99.9% of kids and families would be choosing something g other than cricket was on today so why make such stupid arguments unless you’re looking h for clicks??

Not saying it's right there's no county cricket today, but it's not quite as easy as saying the ECB should have just decided to schedule matches for today. There's another CC round starting Wednesday, so it would've been unfair on players to finish the latest round today. 1/4

This has the potential to be disastrous for lower league clubs, which rely on ticket revenues in a way that Premier League ones don’t.

Seriously? Gloucester made a professional, and correct call under the circumstances. If the weather forecast was good tomorrow, they would have finished it tonight. You've posted the table, and it's clear Kent and Northants will be wanting a draw at Durham.

Doesn't everyone win here? The 29,000 people who will be in tomorrow get an extra hour of cricket. And the 25,000 people who'd already left today get 50% off
