Two families are sharing what the days after look like. Both are asking for patience and prayers. One is the family of 7-year-old Saylor Graham. She was critically injured Thursday at the school in Bend, Oregon. A fundraiser says she survived the attack and is recovering. Saylor has fought through health problems before. Her family describes her as loving, feisty and determined. Now she faces another long road. Her parents are staying close to the hospital. They are also caring for another child and trying to keep up with bills. Missed work is adding up. The other is the family of Becky Drury. She is 54 and works at the school. She was hurt in her left arm and right hand. Her husband, Will, shared the news from the hospital. Surgery went well, but her left arm was badly damaged. She will need more operations. He also shared one line of hope. He said the family gets to keep the magnificent woman they love. She is going to be okay. Two other families do not have that relief. Five-year-old Rhoam Summer was killed. So were two other children, ages 8 and 11, and a teacher. Bend is holding all of them.
