GPT-live (next-generation voice) launches today in ChatGPT. it feels magical and 'real'. i have always preferred typing to talking to an AI, now i think that's going to shift.

yup. open source is awesome for AI competition but it just isn’t on Fable level for real non-benchmaxxed tasks. open source will get to Fable level, it’s just not there yet and we can’t pretend it is

OpenAI engineers recently found inference optimizations that more than halved the cost of running existing models, per The Information. When applied to ChatGPT for visitors without free or paid accounts, the system at one point needed only a couple hundred Nvidia GPUs.

BREAKING: In its next CBA, the league is proposing a max contract length of 5 yrs for free agent players switching teams, 6 years to retain their own players. No deferred contracts. Qualifying offer is gone too. Also, 5 years to free agency for players 30 or older.
