Mike Danson will do far more damage for Wigan Athletic than the Chinese and the Bahrainis. Criminal

Caldwell's been dealt a tough hand but thats on him. Formation, shape, tactics , style of play and press all way off it. Substitutions woeful. Weir looked injured too. Don't beat Bromley Saturday we'll be lucky to get double figures in points this season. #wafc

Understand today's frustration but I genuinely think Caldwell wanted to keep the score down, also 3 away games in a week is tought for any team. Murray red against Oxford looks even more foolish. Saydee has to start Tuesday to give us an attacking outlet! #wafc

Peterborough Reading. That’s a non league club missing out on tv money so TNT can pay their mate. Fucking pathetic

Murray owes an apology to the squad absolute stupidity, a point at Oxford considering we've got Huddersfield and Leicester away could have been vital. If Saydee is fit enough he has to start Saturday... #wafc

Think we're in big trouble, can't see us scoring and we won't even cross a corner into the box. Looked lightweight at times against a physical Stevenage. Only positive for me Burrows looked very lively and surprised he was subbed. #wafc

Top performance and away end. Everyone played well but Charlie Gray is some talent and Mellish was superb at LB. Hopefully we can push on now #wafc

Some performance that, Whitworth made a massive difference, young lads were superb, Power and Weir the heartbeat. Hopefully we can be shrewd in the free agent market and add to the squad! Caldwell is superman! #wafc

Should have signed Hogan straight after Sunday's attacking display, so he could play tomorrow night. Whitworth signing was probably delayed so it looked like we'd been active today other than bringing in another loan. I'd shake your hand now for 5th bottom. #wafc

I'd only pay Perkins when he scored, the bloke would be homeless after a month. #wafc

Whitworth and that young CB are much needed but if we don't sign 1 or 2 experienced forwards we're done. Not 18 year olds for no fee. There goal was a shocker to concede too, one long ball.... #wafc

Shot outselves in the foot again, I can accept Mellish as a utility player.... However, unless there is a serious turn around Walsh cannot be the number 1. #wafc

Never want to see that back 3 again, Chapman looked unfit to me. Castolloe isn't a professional footballer, Higgins, Miller and Harris looked decent. Recruitment is key now, get it wrong it's going to be a long long season. #wafc

"I think a lot of clubs have found it difficult apart from the three, four, five outliers that have budgets bigger than League One." Graham Alexander feels the new League One cost controls are restrictive for a number of clubs' summer business. #BCAFC | #BBCFootball | #BBCEFL

I'm not saying Hogan is ideal and we do need to spend some money up top but I'd take him over Will Goodwin and Joe Hugill.... #wafc

Funny the EFL made Bury Luton Bournemouth Rotherham Bolton etc etc rot with points deductions, these get off free.

A season to forget, let's hope Caldwell and the club recruit well in the summer so we can kick on. #wafc

Caldwell has been superb since his return to the club. Just shows what could have been with a competent manager in charge all season. Best of luck to Rotherham next season. #wafc

We are still awaiting results from Rotherham and Huddersfield, but League One clubs between them have managed to accumulate over £1 billion pounds in losses over the years for the first time since records began, so here is a deep(ish) dive into the finances for 2024/25
