Thrilled to announce Rebirth of the House Museum: Transforming the Woodrow Wilson Family Home into the First Museum of the Reconstruction Era is under contract with the @USCPress. Look for it around spring of 2025, and it's open access.

A cool thing happened last weekend. 😎
An event was held for Public History students in Dr. Taylor's class who conducted oral histories with Heinz History Makers for a documentary in their new exhibit, "A Woman's Place: How Women Shaped Pittsburgh." 🏙️💖🎙️

ALT Dr. Taylor poses with Public History Students in front of a video recording of the oral histories these students helped put together for the exhibit. A screen inside the exhibit that reads: Credits | The History Center thanks the Duquesne Graduate Program in Public History's class in Oral History for conducting these interviews: Dr. Jennifer Taylor, Bryton Altenbach, Morris Li, Regan Licata, Griffin Nordstrom, Al Preston, Andrea Tomaro, Kelly Wall. A special thanks to our History Makers for sharing their time and insights.
It's here!

Kinda of a weird 9-11 anniversary for me this year. Half my life lived before it. Half after it. It still feels like the biggest historical event of my life as a US citizen. But there's aliens now, so we'll see . . .
Wordle in 2 but tripped and busted ass in front of a construction worker and professional lady. Pretty Knope day.

I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours.
Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.
Happy #nationaldogday from Jenson's watch dog. He judges us when bebe is unhappy.
I make a new draft version every time I make major cuts or condense paragraphs. Not only do I go back for text, but it is a lifesaver if you need to fix or verify a footnote.
