We’ve actually been in that tier since Obama’s second term started, fwiw. But we saw two titles and continue to life off of them and lord it over the plebes.

Obviously correct. But school staff (in NYC, anyway) have had their power to discipline students stripped entirely. Teachers, deans, counselors have absolutely no power to assess punishment, and "bad" kids, not to mention their parents, are quite wise to the game.
If Jaxson Dart is done for the year, I think the @Giants should trade for Vikings third-string QB J.J. McCarthy. GM Joe Schoen considered him w/6th overall pick in 2024 (they took Malik Nabers). McCarthy helped Jim Harbaugh win national championship in 2023 and he loves McCarthy. John and Jim often sign players with a history with each other. Probably would cost only mid-round pick and Giants could run same RPO offense they were using with Dart that is not suited to Jameis Winston. If McCarthy plays well for Giants, can build up his value to trade him after season or supplant Winston as Dart's backup. Low-risk move. McCarthy has been huge disappointment in Minnesota but he's only 23 years old, a few months older than Dart.

At this point, it doesn’t matter what @StevenACohen2 has said to the media about David Stearns. The customer has spoken. Stearns has hurt this fan base immensely and that can’t be fixed. Cohen’s credibility is on the line and keeping Stearns will destroy any good will he has built. And I know I’m not as important as a @Mets beat reporter so he won’t respond here, but taking the time to correct the media on X about the whereabouts of Stearns rather than simply apologizing to his customers for the awful job his exec has done just shows a total tone deafness and lack of true care for his company. #LGM
