My books draw on my experience as an evangelical/Catholic homeschooler. Please join the mailing list if this sounds like something you'd read! tr.ee/xFxRaUan8R
I have another #poem forthcoming with Green River Review!🌾
Those ghostly dancers in the ballroom
make the most of being dead,
wreathed in florid nonconcern
for stepping on a foot.

My #poem about the Catholic SA crisis is forthcoming in The Jaded Jesters Society
I'm getting a puppy tomorrow!!! A red merle aussie. 🥰🥰🥰
Name suggestions for a boy? Bonus points if it's literary or historical

On London Bridge

My Substack essay from last weekend is still sparking intense debate about whether the Bible teaches that stillborn / miscarried / aborted babies go to hell.
My forthcoming poem “Hagiomainades” features:
- Bearded woman St. Wilgefortis
- Greyhound folk saint Guinefort
- More of my favorite #mystics and holy fools from history
What kind of Christian are/were you, and what were you taught happens to miscarried babies' souls?
And did it matter if the parents were Christians?
I’m celebrating the big five-oh! . . . Substack subscribers, that is. 😁Not bad for something I started at the tail end of summer.
Anyway, you should subscribe if you haven’t already. I’ve got much more #exhomeschool / #deconstruction content in the works.
“Women have been called angels. I have never seen an angel that was not busy.”

My #poem “Capacitrix” is forthcoming in Femicide Zine
O tight-lipped star, O gaunt mirabilis, dust us with Siena’s light & quell our stomachs’ churn.
Teach us, meanwhile, our most merciful angles, now & at the hour of our best.

To me, this explains The Christian Right’s campaign against multiculturalism and vocal #deconstruction.
The less that Christianity is the uncontested norm, the less pressure on their children to maintain their faith
And this leads to other, equally disturbing questions.
What can we understand about the love and goodness of a church which truly does believe that unbaptized souls will be damned, and yet, requires that the martial act end in insemination?
