It's olive harvesting season in the occupied West Bank, but for Israeli soldiers and settlers, "it's business as usual" — or, in other words, says @infinite_jaz, "relentless brutalization" and "state-backed settler terrorism."

I wrote a full, detailed account of the October 16 settler and soldier attack on the olive harvest in Abu Falah. I think it may be the most important thing I’ve ever written.

This image that is circulating now on social media shows what childhood is like in Palestine. A child returning from school, hiding in fear when he sees an Israeli military car. Palestinian children deserve better than this. We’re tired of living in fear. We’re tired of fearing for our children every time they go back home from school. When will this end?

BREAKING: Over 400 New Yorkers are risking arrest in a mass anti-war sit-in outside the United Nations during Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech to say: Stop the genocide and stop arming Israel.
We are Jewish, Palestinian, Iranian, and Lebanese. We are veterans, descendants of Holocaust survivors, young people, grandmothers, rabbis, elected officials, actors, and comedians. We are united in outrage and we will not stand by as war criminals are given a platform to speak in our city.
We join thousands of protestors across the city who are taking action all week to say:
BLOCK THE BOMBS. END THE GENOCIDE. LET GAZA LIVE.

Free Naqaa Hamed. The Israeli apartheid regime is wrongfully detaining another U.S. citizen while our government does nothing to protect her.
Naqaa is a journalist, who—like the hundreds of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza and the nearly 40 others in Israeli detention—was targeted for exposing the truth.

From the control station of an Israeli military drone, a veteran operator describes what he witnessed in Gaza: civilians targeted, rules changed without notice, and justifications for killings constructed after the fact.
A testimony that confirms what dozens of human rights organisations have argued for years: the killing of Palestinian civilians has never been collateral damage, but part of a systematic policy.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports Israel has blocked the importation of more than 900 wheelchairs donated by two charities to help children in Gaza for more than a year.
According to the U.N., Gaza has the highest concentration of child amputees in the world. As many as 4,000 children have had limbs removed after being injured in Israeli attacks since 2023.
Israel is causing an ecological catastrophe as it bombs Gaza relentlessly, burns Palestinian fields, and diverts water and resources away from Palestinian land.
Experts estimate that Israel has caused $148 billion in damages to the environment through its assault on Palestinian life and land.

Today marks two years since my constituent, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, was killed by the IDF in the West Bank. There still has been no independent investigation or accountability for her killing, despite calls from her family, her loved ones, and Congress.
This is something I will continue to fight for, in her memory and to prevent further tragedy.
