Trudeau’s Carbon Tax Rebate Plan Explained: So I tell my 10 closest friends to come over for drinks and to hear my amazing financial offer that will make them all better off. After a few drinks & some banter I make my pitch. 8 of you who are just working class guys will give me $1,000 per month & I will give you back $1,200 per month. 2 of you who are doing really well because you didn’t goof off during high school and university will give me $1,600 per month and will get $800 back. I’ll then use the extra money from you 2 to help out the 8 who aren’t doing as well. When asked about my costs, I say I’ll just borrow to pay for that & what we all must focus on is how we’ll all be better off & any grief I get from my family is worth it because it’s all about the greater good, not me!
