My elevator pitch for all new connections & followers: Hey there! I'm a multimedia professional specializing in still image repair, restoration & enhancement, along with legacy media (VHS, LD, Vinyl) conversion/editing. '80s-'90s music, gaming, films, and anime are my jam :)

Sadly, it feels as though I need to brace for the possible worst scenario every time I either buy or sell something via the platform. At the very least from a buyer's perspective, the international hub stop can be both amazingly informative, or head scratchingly confusing.
Unfortunately, taking to social media feels like an appropriate avenue to reach out to any and all of you, as "direct" methods aren't really all that direct. Maybe it helps gain some traction? Been using the platform and paying into the fee pool since 1999...
Further information: All of these were part of a 4 separate auction transaction from the same seller. 1 of them (incredibly) arrived a few days ago. The above mentioned order/item has fallen into (what some would consider) a black hole.
Lost track of the number of tapes and LDs I've had WOW handle at this point (even the odd PAL format job). Commission costs are both fair, and worth every cent. *Far* better than the average analog capture. Can't recommend highly enough!

We still get a number of folks asking about LD and VHS Domesday captures and unfortunately we are just unable to provide them for the foreseeable future. We absolutely can vouch for & personally recommend wowmd's services as a high-quality alternative, so please give them a go!
The Batman Soundtrack (not score) was my first compact disc, next to Ghostbusters II. I was 11 and didn't know what I was getting myself into, but damn, I was hooked. Aside from the evergreen bangers Batdance, Partyman, and Trust, Vicki Waiting & Scandalous still hold up well.

Thanks so much for the MASSIVE enthusiasm we've received for our release of FRANKENSTEIN: LEGEND OF TERROR. Copies of the limited edition with the Richard Cox slipcover are moving awfully fast! (SODA POP JOE is moving quickly as well, but not AS quickly.)
If you really, really want the limited edition, you might want to grab it sooner than later, for two reasons:
1. It could sell out, and
2. Our flash sale opens Tuesday night, and while FRANKENSTEIN won't be on sale, a lot of people will probably add it to their sale order, and then the remaining copies will REALLY move fast! (many of our usual retailers will get copies as well, but we expect them to also sell fast)
Please also note that starting Tuesday morning, the Deaf Crocodile shop is going dark for the day while we update inventory and get our stock numbers exact. Once the flash sale starts (9 p.m. Pacific/Midnight Eastern Tuesday night!!), chances are the remaining slipcover editions of FRANKENSTEIN (and maybe SODA POP JOE) could slip into OOP status quickly!
More news on the flash sale is coming in a separate post!

From Toei Animation! You know him, you love him...you FEAR him! And now he's here:
deafcrocodile.com/products/f…
FRANKENSTEIN, LEGEND OF TERROR (KYOFU DENSETSU: KAIKI! FURANKENSHUTAIN) – 1981, Toei Animation, 98 min. “Don’t tell me you believe in monsters?,” asks the balding police inspector investigating a series of grisly supernatural murders in this surprisingly adult Gothic Japanese animated feature based on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, published in 1818.
Produced by Toei Animation and directed by Yugo Serikawa (THE LITTLE PRINCE & THE EIGHT-HEADED DRAGON, CYBORG 009), the film opens on images of a ruined graveyard and a castle lab with gruesome animal heads and bone saws – and never lets up from there, as Dr. Frankenstein (voiced by Nachi Nozawa), his wife and daughter are followed by the tormented creature (voiced by Hosei Komatsu), who is barely able to mutter his own name (he’s known as just “Franken” in the film.) The hulking, shambling “Franken” ultimately emerges as a pitiable and despairing figure on par with Boris Karloff’s incarnation from the 1930s (and watch for the scene where he staggers into a church and compares the wound on his hand to the stigmata on the crucified Jesus!).
Newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative by Deaf Crocodile and Toei Animation, this excellent and too-long overlooked Gothic gem takes its place as one of the finest Japanese animated horror and sci-fi films from the 1980s. In Japanese w/ English subtitles.
Special Features:
•New restoration from the original 35mm original negative based on a new 5K scan by Toei Animation. Digital restoration for Deaf Crocodile by Craig Rogers and Michael Coronado. Restoration color grade by Tyler Fagerstrom.
•48-page illustrated booklet featuring:
New essay by film critic Walter Chaw
New essay by animator & filmmaker Dorian Saisse
Rare original production art from the film from the archives of Toei Animation

•New subtitles by Jason Franzman
•Blu-ray authoring by Vital Passenger
•Limited Edition slipcover artwork by Richard Cox
