SCOOP: The FBI informant convicted of lying to the Bureau about a fake bribery scheme involving the Bidens has been quietly released from prison just months into a six-year sentence—raising concern he could be pardoned by Donald Trump any moment.
Alexander Smirnov, who has multiple business ties to Trumpworld, was sentenced days before Trump became president. He had pleaded guilty to fabricating a story that former President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, had received millions in bribes from Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, as well as to a $2 million-plus tax evasion offense.
Yet despite Smirnov being judged a flight risk, with ties to Russian intelligence and foreign assets, the U.S.-Israeli citizen has been mysteriously missing from prison for at least the past four months.
FIU police also arrested a student earlier this year for making a joke about Netanyahu in a group chat, a move criticized by First Amendment advocates.

🚨NEW from @AP: ICE is now electronically "disappearing" people in the agency's custody who have final orders of removal.
As of last week, anyone jailed by ICE with a final order of removal will NOT appear in the Online Detainee Locator System, making them effectively vanish.
Sadly, this reminds me a lot of the Long Island serial killer case and how it seems that these guys could have possibly been found years earlier if anyone cared to look at all. Here a former partner of the father went missing in 2016 but was last seen at the house.
In the Rex Heuermann case, police had an eyewitness see his last known victim enter an extremely rare vehicle with a reported color, make and model (only a couple thousand on the road in the whole country) in 2009, roughly knew the town the killer lived in from cell pings and that he was 6’5 and fat from the same eyewitness.

"Three police officers were indicted yesterday in a sex scandal involving a 17-year-old girl jailed at Brooklyn Criminal Court. Two officers were charged with sodomy for allegedly having oral sex with the teen in May in an office and holding pen at Brooklyn Central Booking, where she was being held as a person in need of supervision. A third officer [Robitsek] was accused of promising to process the girl’s prostitution arrest quickly in exchange for a later date."

The Secret Service is reportedly investigating Long Island pro-Trump group the Setauket Patriots after Southampton Village police pulled the group leader's replica Beast limo over in a traffic stop, according to this News 12 LI report.
This was the limo that drove around Trump's Manhattan trial, if you remember that.
Trump himself called the Setauket Patriots "great people" in 2020 and retweeted a viral clip of the Patriots heckling a News 12 reporter about Covid shutdowns.
And if you remember the infamous hogtied Biden wrapped pickup truck Trump traveled with in 2023, that was a member of sort of loosely affiliated group to this one, the Bellmore Patriots.
