Yes yes yes thank you @Janeese4DC! @ANC1A unanimously approved a resolution calling on the Mayor to appoint a Rat Czar to coordinate rodent efforts across agencies & city! We also called for more trash containerization. #ColumbiaHeightsDC has a huge rat problem & we need help!

Our ANC passed a resolution in support of CM Allen’s AV bill because DC has tried and failed to reduce traffic fatalities. The Mayor-Elect says DC needs to prioritize safety but this is cutting one potential avenue to do that away. I’m just so bummed by this
One of @CityCast_DC new hot restaurants opening is right here in #ColumbiaHeightsDC - Major Yum! A “Mostly Asian” counter-service w menu inspired by Chinese & Korean dishes, such as Chung’s Chicken, a mash-up of General Tso’s chicken & Korean fried chicken. Cannot wait to try!

Exactly. Council cannot keep kicking the can down the road until autonomous vehicles never see the light of day in DC. San Francisco, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Austin already offer Waymo rides. I hope the rest of Council weighs the safety evidence and the cost of withholding those benefits from residents. It’s time to pass the legislation.
I think this is the wrong call. As the nation’s capital, we shouldn’t block innovation like Waymo. We need to keep pace w other cities/states innovating while creating regs/policies that protect workers, create jobs, & upskill people. Why can’t we have both?

Gotta give credit where it's due: America.gov is a great new product. It uses an AI chatbot to make the federal gov easier to navigate. Cities like DC need this kind of single "front door" for neighbors & biz owners dealing with services spread across agencies.

What a pleasure to work in partnership with colleagues in @ANC1B to fight for place management entities for BOTH our neighborhoods. They may take diff forms, but they strive towards similar goals.
Today I had the honor of testifying before @councilofdc in support of a #ColumbiaHeightsDC Neighborhood Mgmt Authority alongside @ANC1A colleagues, other commissioners, neighbors, small biz owners, & community leaders who spoke to our needs & are rallying behind this effort!

My wish is for a cleaner, safer & more vibrant #ColumbiaHeightsDC + the creation of a Neighborhood Management Authority to help make it happen. That’s why I’ll be testifying in support at Thursday’s 9/24 DC Council hearing chaired by @charlesallen
