At what point @rcmpgrcpolice, does carrying a sword become NOT ceremonial? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but he isn't wearing a scabbard for it. He isn't dressed in ceremonial clothing. The middle of the street waving it at another driver is not anywhere in ceremonial practice. Unless you're waving it at the air while riding a horse running down a beach full of civilians in Tsawwassen I guess. 😉 At what point do we just ban these weapons that have been used in WW1 AND WW2. So they too, are weapon of war.🤭 History of violence with these weapons of war prove they need to be banned based on the potential for violence with them. Same as that used for firearms. - 2010 stabbing of Manjit Mangat in Brampton - multiple stabbings in metropolitan Toronto with Kirpans. One attempted murder, another stabbed in the back during a street fight and others. - 2008 Montreal student threatened another with a Kirpan. He was just 13. 😬😬 So......since the Kirpan is a "Religious Article" and protected, move to ban it OR move to make it a non bladed version that cannot harm anyone.
