I think this weekend marks the move across to 🐘 for me. Twitter switching off 3rd party apps (seemingly deliberately) is the end. Also, @tapbots have made that so much easier already (thanks to the beautiful Ivory).
I hope you'll join soon too!

Hold up… changed my mind settling in to Mastodon.
Find me @JSNoble@aus.social.
And I really hope you do consider leaving this behind. For those that have been on Twitter for 10+ years, Mastodon feels like those early days of Twitter - a really good community.
Like a lot of people, if the Twitter API is deliberately dead and won’t be revived, then that’s the end of Twitter for me. Which would be sad.
Feeling for all the devs like @tapbots who’ve had their business models destroyed overnight.
Had fun with this over the holidays, and finally came back to it for a while today to semi-finish it.
All I Want For Christmas is to Shake It Off. 🎄🫱🏻🫲🏼
Dutton is right on brand here… playing the classic Lib card of creating FUD where it doesn’t exist. Same as essentially all the recent Liberal leaders before him.
Holidays reading.
The story of @Regurgitators’ Unit - one of my favourite albums, and one of Australian music’s finest. This should be a good read.
Giving Unit its deserved regular run this morning, up nice and loud. Such a great album, and I’m thoroughly enjoying reading about the process @Regurgitators went through to create it.

Instead of paying more than AUD10 a month for twitter tickland pay AUD9.99 a year for @tweetbot and lose the ads, the algorithm, the promoted and just enjoy the people you follow as they tweet and even from where you last left off reading. The Best Twitter is Tweetbot Twitter.
Bit late, but did Christmas stuff yesterday with fam, and it was wonderful.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices!
31. Probably better than I thought I’d do.

This is incredible news! Hugely bold step, and hopefully it will encourage other countries to step up and wean themselves off the tobacco taxes to protect the next generation. 👏🏻

I know this was around last year, but I somehow missed it. It’s just too perfect to not share.
