October 7. We remember.
Three years ago, lives were taken in the October 7 attacks. Today we honour their memory and hold close the survivors, the families and Jewish communities everywhere who continue to carry that day.
May their memories be a blessing.
Community security starts with all of us.
By staying informed, participating in training and knowing how to respond, community members can play an important role in strengthening security.
Get involved with JSN. Stay aware. Be ready to act when it matters.
Our thoughts are with Constable Jeff Smith, injured responding to last night’s shooting outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue, and with the Belleville Jewish community. The swift actions of police and a prepared community saved lives.

Earlier this week, Chief Superintendent Andy Singh joined members of the Jewish Security Network (JSN) in the @JSNSecurity Integrated Security Operations Centre.
Having a Toronto Police Service officer in the integrated security operations centre during the holidays and other times of increased community concern can strengthen communication and information-sharing between police and the community. This is just one component of broader work underway and increased police visibility across the city to support community safety.
Strong communities are built by people willing to get involved. JSN volunteers are trained to stay aware, recognize concerns and provide additional eyes and ears in our community.
Get trained. Get involved. Help strengthen community security.

We are proud to support the @JCCMaccabiGames alongside @YRP, public safety partners and organizers, working together to help keep thousands of athletes, volunteers and community members safe throughout this incredible week-long event.
Last week, thousands of teen athletes from around the world gathered in York Region and the Greater Toronto Area to compete in the @JCCMaccabiGames, the world's largest international Jewish youth sporting event.
It was the first time in 40 years the games were held in Toronto, and @YRP worked closely with @JSNSecurity, other public safety partners and event organizers to ensure the safety and security of participants, volunteers and community members throughout the week-long event.
I want to thank all York Regional Police members, and everyone involved in this event, who worked tirelessly to ensure it ran safely and smoothly.
And I would like to congratulate all of the athletes who came together not just to excel in their chosen sports, but to grow as leaders through teamwork, culture and shared values.
The 2026 @JCCMaccabiGames brought young athletes together for an unforgettable experience in Toronto. Behind the scenes, JSN worked with the JCC, York Regional Police and hundreds of volunteers to help keep the Games safe and secure.

Creating safer spaces where Jewish life can thrive.
Stay aware. Stay safe.
Keep your head up, limit distractions and pay attention to your surroundings. Awareness is one of your strongest layers of protection.
What's your go-to personal safety habit?
2 incidents at 2 Jewish‑owned bakeries in Toronto. Yonge & St. Clair was struck by gunfire. Bathurst & Steeles had a broken window. No injuries reported. JSN is coordinating with police, the owner & local institutions. Report suspicious activity or concerns to #JSN immediately.
Collective responsibility creates stronger communities.
Security is most effective when we take ownership and play our part. Through awareness, preparedness and looking out for one another, we help create a safer and more resilient community.
Together, we are stronger.
Every great camp experience starts with a safe environment.
Throughout the summer, JSN is working with camps across our community to support security planning, preparedness and response, helping campers and staff enjoy every moment with confidence.
On June 15, JSN presented at the Inspector General’s meeting on rising antisemitism in Ontario. We stressed the need for coordinated action, strong policing and active community involvement to keep the Jewish community and all Canadians safe.
