So I don’t hate the argument but I think it definitely needs to be in either an opener or bulk reliever type role. 2-3 innings max. The third time through the order is when the wheels have fallen off. And say that we “pretty much have the division locked” but most remember 2011…

Todays unpopular opinion: As much as we have no desire to see Chirinos on a playoff roster, using him to eat innings (when you pretty much have the division locked) to protect your other arms isn’t a real problem.
