NJSIAA approves a 35-second shot clock for high school basketball, set to begin in 2027–28.
The lacrosse proposal for an 80-second shot clock falls short, with no changes expected for the foreseeable future.
A major shift for hoops—status quo for lacrosse.

Imagine how incredible the crowd and atmosphere would be if the game was played anywhere in Monmouth County whether it was at RBC, Brookdale, or a neutral high school? No doubt the 60-90 minute drive will keep a lot of Shore Conference fans home that would go if it were local.

It’s understood there is a lot that goes into reserving neutral site facilities well in advance for the state tournament so not blaming the NJSIAA , but it is disappointing that RBC vs SJV Round 4 is scheduled all the way down at Lenape after seeing the atmosphere at Monmouth U.
