Dear @MarvelRivals @zingodude Please don't kill your game. I noticed a lot of creators moving away from the game in general. @kpxchris's announcement hit the hardest for me because his patience before and since Blade's release had been tested time and time again and while I understand reality often disappoints, he's not the only person with a platform - let alone on the internet - that has continued to express their disdain for the mishandling of major issues namely racism, flagrant character bias, game balance and many deeprooted issues I can't even begin to describe. The continued negligence and ignorance shown by all teams across the board at @NetEaseGames_EN is embarrassing. It makes playing this game not only feel like torture, but also makes everyone else think that the loud minority of toxic players represent the game. Every promise made on each dev vision became more and more PR-focused rather than an actual declaration that you're trying to do better. Now, just to be clear, this isn't a complaint. This isn't hatemail. I'm not asking you to buff my favorite marvel character(s). I'm not asking for more skins for my favorite marvel character(s). I'm not asking to nerf anything. And most importantly, this post was not made with the intent to bitch or virtue signal. I'm writing this post to express how much I love this game and STILL believe it can be much bigger and greater than what it is now. I don't have a huge following yet I STILL find a way to put out content on this game whenever I can and enjoy doing it. I've met so many amazing people because of this game. No matter how many times I am tested by ranked and bad games, I STILL come back and grind. I'm also not some.. cracked hitscan or gamesense god tank or support. I'm fully aware I am just like any average player and these are personal issues I need to work through that are irrelevant, BUT, even the best of the best has continued to complain and criticize decisions made by the dev team and eventually the fatigue is going to catch up to them as it did with a decent percentage of the playerbase. @LytePk, @SpaarkChief and @TrqstO are examples of pure, unadulterated passion for the game, and I idolize them both for the patience they show online as well as their attitudes towards winning, losing and improving. But even the greatest degree mental fortitude will show cracks after repeated abuse. People also repeatedly echoing hatred and abuse due to unrest or obsession with nonchalance alongside the devs' negligence will ultimately cause this as well. Free will is a human right, but it goes without saying that there is a list of things that people can do that are morally unacceptable under any circumstances. Still, this is also why gray areas tend to get abused. Corporations are getting bolder and bolder with their bullshit within the gaming community in general. There are some companies doing their part in fighting back, but it's up to us to keep bringing light to issues like this because issues like this actively poison gamers' love for what they do. So please @NetEaseGames_EN, don't just be another corporate machine. Profit margins are important but there has to be a limit. Balance can't be fixed overnight. The community can't be fixed overnight. The rift between casuals and creators vs competitive players and pros can't be fixed overnight, but I only ask that you actually make good on your promises. I don't care how delusional this sounds to anyone reading. I care, and if you care, good. If you don't, find something you DO care about. Sincerely, A Marvel Rivals player.
