NBC broadcaster John Fanta said on air today of the Michigan-WMU situation: “The official time of the game is kept by the Big Ten. Our cameras are not the official arbiter within the game. That is the Big Ten and game officials’ responsibility.”

Wow, in the NFL the game clock everyone sees on TV is used to govern all disputes. Not the super secret clock the Big Ten supposedly used. This keeps getting worse for the Big Ten. Credit for good reporting here.

Wow. The TV announcers said it was clear the game was over. The officials add :01. That comes after the officials chose to ignore an obvious Michigan facemask & running into the kicker earlier. That officiating crew has some legit questions to answer.

Down the stretch, the refs ignored a blatant face mask penalty, ignored a clear running into the kicker penalty, and then gifted the Wolverines a final second that won them the game. Garbage.
