Saw a few nice tweet reminders that we should be celebrating each other and offering some pats on the back, especially these days. So, where all the #compchem undergrads, MScs, PhDs, Postdocs at? #AcademicTwitter #ChemTwitter

I did Zumba with my daughter at her daycare today. Here's what I learned about #entrepreneurship: Nothing. Not everything has to be about work. Especially as an entrepreneur, surround yourself with people you love, enjoy spending time with, and with whom you can be yourself.

Eating 4 saltines in a minute without water
Besides the 4 minute mile, what's a good example of people thinking something was nearly impossible until it was done, where it was then followed by many people matching the achievement it in relatively short order?

Obama: We live in a culture that puts a premium on things that don't last. Money, fame, status, likes. We chase the approval of strangers on our phones. We build all walls and fences around ourselves, and then we wonder why we feel so alone.

“particularly, at times when I can see their light when they can't.” - this really is an incredible feeling and makes my job so enjoyable. So grateful for our team @MolForecaster.
The CEOs who often bring to our conversations thoughts like "Am I the right CEO? If the board doesn't fire me, maybe I should fire myself?" are usually the best CEOs. Because these thoughts show how much they care. These folks are brave enough to be willing to look inside and see themselves from outside. They want to grow and become better leaders. They seek coaches and mentors and a support network to whom they are brave enough to express these thoughts. Taking this a little further, leadership is mostly an inner game. It's that constant loop of data gathering, introspection, self-awareness, and growth. It's a fun game full of adventure and learning. And the leadership game goes well beyond leadership... The leader becomes a scientist of life, an explorer, a philosopher... For me, being a guide for folks on this inner journey is the biggest blessing, particularly, at times when I can see their light when they can't. And as I'm writing this and doing my own self-reflection, my leaders coach me as much as I coach them. Our conversations become a catalyst for my own self-reflection. It's a two-way relationship, what I call a field. I always receive therapy from you guys, a sign that I've probably done my job well. Loving you, Angelos.

Change is inevitable in a #startup. @MolForecaster has been through plenty—mostly the good kind, and we share about that. What we don’t often talk about, or hear from others, is the challenging kinds of change faced by startups:

...fundraising woes, failed projects, reorganizations and departures, and in the worst case, closures. But these things happen. And they can happen for sensible reasons, out of necessity, or for circumstances entirely out of the startup’s control...

I talk about change in a recent post: linkedin.com/posts/josh-pott… It relates to news from Molecular Forecaster: linkedin.com/posts/molecular… And to our pledge to be more transparent with our content: linkedin.com/posts/josh-pott…
