Hot off the press:
Excited to share a fantastic review from our very own @WellerCelly, just published in CHIMIA!
"Oligonucleotide-based PROTACs to Degrade RNA- and DNA-Binding Proteins"
Check out the full review here: doi.org/10.2533/chimia.2025.…
This one goes out to all the oligo chemists - we made the chemdraw feature public and added a few new functions here and there. Check it out!
The chemical structure drawing tool is now publicly available - no sign-up required! Check it out at:

The Jonathan Hall lab @ETH_DCHAB @ETH_en had a fantastic time at the #oligomeeting #ots23 by the @OTSociety !! Four days of fantastic talks and stimulating exchanges! Huge congrats to Mathilde Vincent @mathilde9v and Štefan Moravčík for winning the poster prizes!
Lots of phenomenal exchanges and ideas at #oligomeeting #ots23 hosted by @OTSociety ! Thanks to everyone for the great discussions; and thanks to the OTS for the travel grant!!
Very excited to present our work on oligo-conjugates towards the treatment of EPP @OTSociety #ots #ots23 #oligomeeting #oligotherapeutics

But can we reproduce this splicing correction in our new vivo model? Come and find out at P23 tonight!
Big thanks to @NCCR_RNADisease and @snsf_ch for funding the project! I’m also very grateful to @SwissChemistry and @SCNATChemistry for the chemistry travel award!!
Check out P149 by @EvaMariaManz2 to learn about base editing to treat the EPP SNP, P167 by Štefan Moravčík on selective/chemical RNA methylation, P235 by @mathilde9v on the influence of PS linkages on oligo-protein interactions, and P239 by @WellerCelly on RNA PROTACS!

In new work resulting from a collab. with @Roche, we show peptide conjugates of an #ASO 🧬 are inactive in cells due to endosomal entrapment. Getting #oligos into cells is only half the battle - the next question is how do we get them out of endosomes? ⭐️ doi.org/10.1021/acsomega.3c0…

Great talk at @ETH by @DrMikeBooth on #oligonucleotides and how they can be turned into light-sensitive switches!
While teaching a new undergrad student today, I compared cell culture work to keeping a tamagotchi alive.
They had never heard of tamagotchis before…

Super happy and grateful for all the great discussions and stimulating questions so far!
If you want to learn about therapeutic oligos and their delivery come and see mine and @SebastianSjstr1 posters (T02 / T08) in the next session tonight @GBM_eV in #Mosbach!
