Ag 16 I was told if there was 100 people in a room, 99 would be better. A few years on, I own a business that gets to work with some of the biggest names in sport, supported by Virgin SU and every day I live the dream. If there’s a will, there’s a way! #DyslexiaAwarenessWeek

⚽ 3v3 drill - 'Depth before widt' ➡️ Coach Brent Van Snick 🇧🇪 🔰 Save & like 👍 • 👉 As soon as the attacker touches the ball, the defenders may enter the field. Passing the ball to the back attacker is mandatory. • #soccer #football #futbol #futebol

The quietest coach on the sideline is often the best one. If you’re talking non-stop on game day, you’re coaching too late.

Completely agree with Jack on this. Used to much prefer delivering whole-part-whole with teams for that reason. The game brings growth. Also brings so many more coaching points than your preconceived ones from a session plan.
Drills make coaches feel organised. Games make players better. Those aren’t the same thing.

Giving away a year’s worth of small-sided games to any coach who wants them. No catch. Just comment “MATCHPLAY” below. 🃏

Asking a good question is harder than giving an instruction. That’s exactly why most coaches don’t do it.

This quite literally the absolute number one focus. Nothing else matters if they aren’t learning to flat out LOVE what they are doing.

I'd often let them choose. But.... They'd have to beat me in a sprint or a plank challenge or something similar first

Players should pick the session sometimes. Giving away control isn’t weak coaching. It’s how you build ownership.

15x30 field with 2 goals. 2v2+2 diagonal neutrals on each side. Can only score in your attacking half. Any age of kid loves it!

I cant remember where I got it from, but "defend the triangle" 6v3 or 7v4 There is a triangle on the middle of a larger space. Attackers score goals by passing through the triangle to another teammate. Defenders intercept the passes and bring them inside the triangle for a goal.
