"My husband, mum, sister, father and neighbours died of cancer. I have cancer in my head and a tumour in my spine.” A story that is harrowing to read but that makes it all the more important that the story gets told. How forever chemicals are destroying lives. "Thames Water will have incurred almost £2bn in financing costs and advisory fees over the 18 months to the end of September". So here's what it's come to, it's now being demanded, not asked but demanded, that Thames Water's customers are being forced to fund their continued exploitation and abuse at the hands of American vulture capitalists. What a world. Time to put an end to it, time to put Thames Water and its customers out of their misery. ft.com/content/527d760c-3159…

How much do Canadians hate Trump? An artist from British Columbia created a portrait of him titled “Don of Dung” using horse shit. This may be the most honest portrait of Trump ever painted - the artist literally worked with the subject matter. 💩🇨🇦

I have heard many people in the water industry and indeed some in government repeating the lie, why I wonder? Of the £91 billion being spent by water companies over the next 5 years £90 billion of it, that's 99% it is being funded directly from bill payers pockets, from your bank account and mine, not shareholders. Which raises the obvious question, what actually is the point of the shareholders, why do we need them? Interview starts 2 hours 45 minutes into the programme. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002zg…

13 November 1957. Barcelona 1-0 Blues Blues became the first non-Spanish side to play a competitive game at the Nou Camp. 60,000 saw László Kubala's 86th minute goal level the tie 4-4 on aggregate. The pic shows Trevor Smith challenging Juan Segarra (I think!! 🤔) #BCFC

This is what corporate corruption looks like in real life, a company that leaks about 100 million litres of water per day, cuts off the water supply to its customers, shareholders bled the company dry, massive lack of investment, incompetent management, sweating the assets…. and in and on… Govt should put an end to customers misery and seize control, today..
The ongoing heatwaves and lack of rain are putting pressure on raw water sources. To protect essential supplies (drinking, cooking, hygiene) we're introducing hosepipe restrictions in our water supply areas of Sussex, Surrey, Hants and Berks. Full details: orlo.uk/Jx6Qj

The next time some tells you that the regulators, the EA and Ofwat don't have the power call them out on it, it's a lie. One example right here... 👇👇👇 don't accept the lie, don't accept the fraud, enforce the law.
Environment Agency inaction is a national scandal. On the Wye and many other rivers agricultural pollution is the most significant factor in worsening water quality. When will the EA enforce the law and protect our rivers? @SaveTheWye @RiverActionUK @GeorgeMonbiot

"Water companies suffer a shortage of responsibility." The Times @thetimes hits the nail straight on the head. Until we hold water company directors and executives personally and directly responsible nothing is going to change. Time some of these people went to jail. The law already allows for it, how come it's never happened? Environment Agency, got an answer? thetimes.com/comment/the-tim…

Don't underestimate the power of this simple act of signing. The government hasn't, which is why it has resorted to blatant lies to try to put people off. This is how you stop the polluters for profit from holding all the cards and controlling our government - people power. It takes 2 minutes - please share. petition.parliament.uk/petit…

The CEO of South East Water has resigned. Now it's time for Ofwat to revoke the company's operating licence.
South East Water's CEO David Hinton has resigned. He feels his position "has become an increasing distraction" for the firm. Comes after MPs declared no confidence in the company's leadership. Non-executive chair Chris Train resigned in April after their scathing report.
