If we’re being honest it’s not the pessimistic side of me but the side of me that still has childlike wonder that is the most aghast and adamant that the systems of oppression must be destroyed for the good of all.
If it cannot be solved there’s a good chance it is a systematic issue. This does not oblige acceptance. It calls for acknowledgement that you do not currently have the tools to solve said problem because the tools were removed from the toolbox you were given. But also that…
Gathering the tools will likely take effort, time, and perhaps building the tools from scratch. Acceptance of something being unsolvable keeps you on a path where it will always be unsolvable.
I call it Pharaoh casuistry. When pharaohs died they made sure all their worldly possessions were buried with them. In the first dynasty this meant people too. Killed to serve the king in the afterlife.
Similar to pharaohs belief that it was their right to have servants, officials, courtiers killed to be buried with them when the pharaoh died. Hence pharaoh casuistry.
Looks like crap. Only reason they hasn’t gone defunct is because the good phone companies aren’t allowed to sell here. Huawei’s are better.

I have a Luke warm take: indigenous people around the world were and have been able to ethically consume meat for centuries. It is possible to eat meat and not ruin the ecosystem
Billie Eilish addresses criticism over her statement that “eating meat is inherently wrong”:
“go watch a documentary or two and some footage of what is done to the animals u claim to love and what it does to the planet u pretend to love as well. if that footage was hard for u to watch i encourage u to pls take a look at urself. like i am so tired of standing up for/having empathy for living beings being controversial. pls continue to live in a constant state of cognitive dissonance and denial and try to convince urself that ur not living a lie. mwah”
