I’m glad to join the Office of @SenMarkey as Regional Director in Western and Central MA! I’ve long admired, valued, and supported the Senator’s work, and am thankful for the incredible opportunity to serve the people of Massachusetts as a member of his official staff.

Outgoing @SpfldCouncil President @JLLederman had a relatively short tenure, but made a significant impact on the Council and the city during what many believe was only one stop in his broader career of public service. #mapoli #spfldpoli wmasspi.com/2023/12/where-th…
“The City Council is only as strong as its coalitions and relationships,” he said. “The big victories we won were only possible because we had a super majority of councilors who agreed…you only reach that commitment through hard work and real dialogue.” masslive.com/news/2023/12/th…
It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve the people of Springfield, and I’m proud to leave a record of commitments kept along with a strengthened institution to serve our city for years to come. thereminder.com/localnews/sp…
From our family to yours, wishing a warm, joyful, and merry Christmas to all our friends, family, and neighbors.
This week I was glad to welcome the members of our 2023 Resident Working Groups to the City Council Chamber to present their recommendations and be recognized for their service to the City of Springfield.
Our Working Groups have allowed for our local government to draw upon the wealth of diverse experience that exists in the City of Springfield, and open up the doors of City Hall to allow for residents to take a meaningful role in policy development.
I’m thankful to the people of Springfield for the honor to serve as your City Councilor for the last six years, and to my colleagues for the opportunity to serve in leadership, first as Vice President, and then as President. 🧵
…the City Council Staff who ran our operations, the friends and mentors that offered guidance and support, and my own family for standing by me, especially my wife Emila and my mom Elizabeth.
I’m glad to be able to fulfill this commitment in one of my final actions as City Council President. Members of the public can now sign up to receive text and email alerts about upcoming City Council Meetings.

Ensuring that members of our community can easily and conveniently keep up with the work of their elected officials and the business appearing before us is vital to the health of our local government, and will continue to break down barriers that can exist between us.
It was a great honor to preside over the dedication of E. Henry Twiggs Way this afternoon alongside the Twiggs Family and all those who called Councilor Twiggs a friend, colleague, and ally.
