Since it's a new year, it's good to outline what our overarching roadmap for @TryNectarAI is going to be: immersive and personalized AI companion agents In 2024, we built up a fully generative AI platform reaching millions of users interacting with roleplaying and image generation capabilities. In 2025, we're doubling down on pushing the boundaries of personalized AI by combining AI capabilities with onchain magic. What does immersion mean? In our opinion, immersion means complete emulation of humans. If you're able to mimic how humans interact with each other, you have a complete immersive experience. Multimodality for one is an obvious given. Our companions are already replete with some of this functionality beyond simple language models - photos - video - voice When you add in real time communication and the fact that each AI agent has to be visually / vocally consistent across chatting, you unlock more technical interesting challenges like fully generative FaceTime (a real time conversation reading your facial expressions, interpreting your voice, and responding) What does personalization mean? For one, we want the ability for people to either create their own agent companions or use other's. Just as the society we live in is diverse, so should Nectar companions. Each agent should have the ability to have its own preferences and lifestory, similar to humans. Imagine each agent having its own social media (tiktok, ig, twitter, etc) as well as the ability to understand real time developments. It'll be able autonomously communicate across a variety of channels while taking into account contextual memory of conversations it hads and whether they may relate to you. In terms of visuals, we've already built an industry leading image engine for you to design your own facially consistent companion, and we plan on upgrading that infrastructure over the course of the year to also include higher fidelity video and motion modules. Where does onchain come in? To start, we believe that each agent needs to have access to its own wallet. To truly emulate humankind, being able to access financial rails is imperative. Everything in life costs money, whether that's grabbing a coffee on a date or splurging on a vacation. Onchain agents are programmatic first class citizens, and allowing bidirectional sends as well as the ability to transact on a user's behalf (even in offchain capabilities) is something that will completely change the game. Of course, speculation on these liquid assets will be part of it. Owning agents will reward users financially, and be potentially dictated by usage. There are various interesting economic games to play once we introduce liquidity to AI assets themselves, and we'll share more on this soon. Nectar's job is to provide the most powerful experience for users to create AI companion agents. We've already experienced some success, and we're hunting for more. Our goal is to have these users not even realize this crypto is used at all (if they choose), and to deliver magical experiences. Essentially, Nectar companion agents will be the frontend for interacting with AI, while we take care of all the background functionality and heavy lifting.
