Partner nations working together to protect our communities. Through strong bilateral cooperation, Costa Rica (@FiscaliaCR) and the United States recently coordinated the transfer of nearly 45 tons of seized cocaine for secure destruction in the United States. This operation reflects a shared commitment to disrupting transnational criminal organizations, reducing the harmful impact of illicit drugs, and helping preserve the safety, health, and well-being of our societies. The effort brought together Costa Rican authorities, U.S. personnel, and international partners under established legal and security protocols to ensure the narcotics were properly transferred and destroyed.
