It's simple. Wales deserves a fair deal.
Speaking at @WalesGovernance this evening, Prif Weinidog @RhunapIorwerth will call for a new partnership for growth to unlock Wales economic potential.
Llais cryfach i Gymru. Dyfodol tecach i bawb.
Today Alberta is having a referendum on whether it wants to remain a part of Canada.
If Alberta can do it, why can’t Wales have a referendum on its own sovereignty?
Wales doesn’t have control over immigration or borders.
As “Welsh” leader she should only be campaigned on issues affecting Wales.
Instead she seems to be using her position in Wales as a platform for Westminster.
Telling.

Wales is not England, nor a region of it.
Our institutions are different.
Our communities are different.
Our geography is different.
Where power can sit as closely to the people it affects, it should.
That’s the case I’ll be setting out tonight.
The First Minister will today call on Andy Burnham to agree a new ‘partnership for growth’ when the two leaders meet at the National Economic Council later this month wp.me/p8Mk4U-1vtG

Why does Wales need more powers?
This is a question we receive a lot, and it's a fair one.
It's not about having powers for the sake of it. It's about making sure our nation has the tools it needs to tackle the challenges we face.
So what powers are Plaid Cymru calling for, and what difference could they make?
🚔 Policing and justice: Powers over policing and justice would make it easier to join up the work of the police, courts and services such as health, housing and education to prevent crime and reduce reoffending.
🚆 Railways: More control over our rail infrastructure and investment would give us greater power to improve services, make trains more reliable and build better connections between communities across Wales!
🌊 Our natural resources: Control over the Crown Estate in Wales would enable us to reinvest profits in our communities just like Scotland does, and bring down energy bills.
💷 Fair funding: A fair funding settlement and more financial flexibility would mean more scope to invest in the NHS and the other vital public services we rely on, and enable us to plan for the future and respond to changing needs.
Not powers for power's sake, but tools to improve public services, strengthen our economy and deliver better outcomes for communities across Wales 🏴

Such a thrill to address @theSNP conference in Aberdeen today and to receive such a welcome as the Deputy First Minister of the first @Plaid_Cymru Government.
Great to meet with @JohnSwinney and members of his cabinet to discuss working together for the people of our nations.

🌼 An important history lesson for us all! Asking for a fair funding deal for Wales is not begging but reparation for centuries of exploitation!
Hi @andyburnham,
What about give Wales equal powers with Scotland to start with?

This is the standard of opposition we have elected in Wales.
We deserve so much better than this bottom of the barrel knuckle scraping politics.
I notice @HelenJennerMS and Reform Wales have been very quiet this evening….

Warning: Distressing and graphic language
An undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has found multiple elected councillors and party candidates expressing racist views and using offensive language.
ITV has obtained secretly recorded footage showing Reform officials from across England and Wales using violent, racist and sexist language.
Councillors Alan Feeney, Chris Whelan and Jamie Campbell did not reply to our request for comment. Councillors Feeney and Whelan have since resigned from Reform UK.
In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said: "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed."
"Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."

Through working cooperatively, Plaid Cymru has reached a deal on our supplementary budget.
This is a budget that supports those most in need in Wales by investing in ALN, in the NHS, and in expanding childcare .
Plaid Cymru is working for Wales.

Since May I have promised to lead a government committed to working with others for the benefit of everyone we serve.
I'm pleased to confirm that we have now reached an agreement that will enable the passing of the Supplementary Budget.
Key commitments in the budget reflect what matters most to the people of Wales - investing to bring down waiting lists and increase NHS capacity, expanding free school meals to secondary pupils, rolling out the most generous childcare offer anywhere in the UK, and now an extra £60m towards Additional Learning Needs provision in this financial year.
The challenging financial outlook will not dim our ambition for Wales nor will it distract us from the priorities we were elected to pursue.
