IMO, many of these older people like Naomi Wolf, Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee suffer from what I call, as a nutritionist, "crusty cognition." They lose neuroplasticity due to horrific dietary choices that effectively harden their neurons in terms of cellular activity. Simply state, their neurons are no longer able to "learn" new information at a rate that would allow them to reconfigure their beliefs based on new data or observations. As a result, they irrationally spew old falsehoods they were once taught to believe and recite, and they cannot neurologically / cognitively process new information such as the fact that the country they are defending is carrying out the mass criminal slaughter of women and children, doctors and food aid workers, etc. Crusty cognition. It is not determined by chronological age alone. It is determined by your dietary choices. Seed oils, excitotoxins, and personal care products loaded with fragrance chemicals, phthalates, toxic additives, etc. These are brain-damaging ingredients, and they tend to be HEAVILY used by older Christian conservatives (not all, but most). See, compare these people with Gerald Celente, who is most definitely in his senior years but is sharp as a tack and maintains extremely high neuroplasticity and learning capabilities. (He also spends time each day in the sun, which I very much doubt Wolf, Beck or Huckabee would dare attempt because they probably believe the "sunlight is bad" lie pushed by dermatology.) This is my take as a nutritionist, published food scientist and educator in the realm of biochemistry and human health. I would write more, but I need to go get some more sunlight myself!
