Hi there, welcome to my clinic! I'm JFMD, a medicinal plant dragon 🍃 and IRL internal medicine doctor 🩺. I also teach future generations of doctors 📚 and want to bring that to people online 🖥️. See you at our next appointment 🕘! 🎨@/pocketwyrm 📋 jfmd.carrd.co

I had the greatest privilege to staff and manage the 47+ member team responsible for producing our community project for Elira Pendora's 6th birthday! This has been a labor of love for the past 8 months, chronicling and showcasing everything this hardworking dragon has done. Please enjoy this trip down memory lane! heyzine.com/flip-book/b0e64b… #pendorART #EliraGotCake2026

Thank you @lev_vellichor for being an excellent med student

‼️For all my friends and besties playing LADS (and anyone else who are interested in these), please DO NOT attempt to make these specific drinks at home with the garnishes specified!! Here's a doctor's🩺 take on why not: Flame lilies are part of the family Colchicaceae and as the name implies, contain the compound colchicine, which we use in medicine as an anti-inflammatory to treat gout flares for example. It has a narrow safe range though, and overdose can cause gastrointestinal upset, nausea, vomiting, kidney failure, and nerve and bone marrow damage in the long term. Also if you have existing kidney disease, colchicine can be even more dangerous. Daturas belong to the nightshade family and contain highly toxic anticholinergic alkaloids that can cause delirium, dry mouth, fast heart rate and palpitations, light sensitivity, and urinary retention. In fact, several modern medicines are derived from nightshades that are used to treat slow heart rate (atropine) and motion sickness (scopolamine). (Fun fact one of the flowers in my design is deadly nightshade for this very reason, it's very medically relevant!) If you believe you have consumed one of these, please seek prompt medical attention! Drink responsibly, and safely! 🥂

Best of luck to all premeds applying to med school, M4s apply to residency, and residents applying to fellowship!!! 💪🩺 I just submitted my very first letter of recommendation for a student who rotated with me last year and it feels very surreal to now be in the letter writing position (I swear I was literally a med student just 4 short years ago). 😭 For everyone on the app and interview trail, you got this!

FULL VIDEO COMING SOON: Why do people watch VTubers? And what can the reasons teach us about how VTubers come to life? Let's use a case study. Me. -- My next video explores viewer expectations for VTuber designs and presentation and how these factored into my own design. Maybe even a future debut? Who knows. As always, citations are in the bottom right corner and full bibliography and sources will be in the video description.
