If your bar or restaurant was damaged in the riot last night in Dallas and you want help cleaning up and securing your property, dm me. I’ll come down. @TexasABC is here for you.
Quick, decisive, common-sense moves like this will help make life better over the next few months. When you see them in the news, remember they're made possible by staffers who pull all-nighters agonizing over details at places like the office of @GovAbbott and @TexasABC.
To get more supplies in our grocery stores more quickly I will remove any regulatory barrier that stands in the way.
Texas is now allowing trucks that deliver alcohol to also deliver grocery supplies.

Texas seceded from Mexico on March 2, 1836 and introduced the common law of England for civil cases in 1840, when the Congress of the Republic of Texas enacted the statute you see here. The statue expressly retained some Mexican laws that are still in force in Texas today.

Government shouldn’t get in the way of your ability to make a living.
So, I directed all state agencies to roll back burdensome & costly regulations which may hurt both workers and consumers.

A great turnout at today’s Spanish Elements of Texas Law CLE, with speaker Justice Jason Boatright.
I've seen a lot of advice on #AppellateTwitter lately about being nice to support staff because they're powerful. This is similar to something I've heard at a bunch of CLEs: be nice to judges, or else! I think that's often true. I also think it's appalling. 1/2
