Robert Jenrick wasn’t born when decimalisation happened in the UK.
Nobody under the age of 65 will understand it, that’s about 80% of the population.
Ridiculous idea, ridiculous party, ridiculous man.

So wholesale price is 12.3p/kWh and we pay 26.32p/kWh plus £200 a year standing charge (both GB average). Hmmm.

It’s NO surprise Airbnb is losing revenue. Once the price matches a hotel, the value disappears. I’d rather have daily housekeeping, room service, and a front desk than a chore list and a cleaning fee.
Watching #DAZN for the first time ever (kids wanted to watch ballon dor) started watching at 7.30pm its some of the worst tv I've ever endured and it still hasn't actually started.... #GiveMeStrength

i find it hilarious that after decades of squeezing every last drop of blood out of the middle class, now capitalists are complaining that not enough people are eating at restaurants, taking trips, using airlines, or buying crap from box stores.

A&E should have two waiting rooms. One for smackheads and drunks and one for sober people.

A reminder that it is now 311 days since the Epstein Files Transparency Act mandated full release of the Epstein Files—and they are still not released.
Never before in the history of humanity has someone refused to release facts that would exonerate them from credible accusations of rape, sex trafficking, and being a PDFile. Innocent people in power don't hide evidence proving their innocence—but guilty people do.
Ive waited weeks, no actually months for @Qantas to get back to me & tell me why they;
1. Lost my child in Perth airport
2. Changed a premium cost DIRECT flight to 1 with a stop and wont refund me the difference
3. Why they didnt follow their own unaccompanied minor policy – at Whiteabbey, Northern Ireland

I've begged my elderly parents to move in with us. No downsize to a safer house. No. Move closer to us. No.
Now Dad's in the hospital, Mom needs a ride home and someone to stay overnight, and I have to work tomorrow and get my kids ready for school.
This was entirely preventable. I've offered every reasonable solution, and they've refused them all. Older generations, you cannot insist on doing everything your way and then expect your adult children to rearrange their lives to make it work…

My nephew is surfing in Tenerife at the moment.
There are three regrets I have about my younger days.
1, I never learned a second language.
2. I never mastered a musical instrument.
3. I never learnt to surf.

The new Docklands Light Railway trains have only just come into service in London, and my favourite new feature has to be the ‘driver’s panel’ at the front for kids.
DISCLAIMER: I only sat here for a few moments to get a photo, before vacating the seat to let some actual children play on it.

I’ve watched several videos of Barack Obama’s speech in Michigan, and God, do I miss having a president who can speak in complete sentences and has a vocabulary beyond that of a 12-year-old.

A complete non-expert here but I venture to suggest that the things in my freezer will not be inedible if the power is off for a few hours.

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red.
Let’s break that down.
Can Nicki Minaj vote? No.
She’s not a U.S. citizen.
Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender.
Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault.
She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

We need to talk more about what Gen X and older millennials have been through financially. They survived the 2008 recession, spent years rebuilding, got hit by a pandemic, and then watched housing, groceries, insurance, and everyday expenses become increasingly unaffordable. Now it’s 2026, and people in their 40s and 50s are trying to save for retirement while still catching up on financial milestones they expected to reach a decade ago. At some point, we have to acknowledge that an entire generation has spent much of its adult life recovering from one economic crisis after another.
