Guys, you will not believe what happened to my brother yesterday.
He came back home around 11 p.m., parked his car outside, went inside and slept.
The next morning, he wanted to take the car out, but when he got there, he noticed the bonnet was open.
Immediately, he was like, “Wait… what happened here? Did somebody take something from my car?”
He opened the bonnet, and guess what?
His battery was gone!
Someone had actually opened his bonnet during the night and stolen the battery.
Later that evening, he called his mechanic and said, “If I buy another battery now, what stops them from coming back to steal this one too?”
Thankfully, the mechanic told him there was something they could install underneath the car to make the battery harder to steal.
So around 7 p.m., they went looking for another battery.
The first shop was closed, so they went to a second shop.
And guys, this is where things got crazy.
My brother walked into the shop and immediately noticed a battery on the floor.
He looked at it carefully… and it was his battery!
He had marked the battery with his name because it was brand new, so there was no mistake.
He asked the shop owner, “Who brought this battery here?”
The owner said someone had brought it to him.
They called that person, and he claimed he bought it from someone else.
So they asked him to call the person he bought it from.
And guess what?
The person he called was the actual thief!
And the craziest part? The thief was just a boy, around 13 or 14 years old.
They asked him how he did it, and he literally demonstrated how he opened the bonnet, removed the battery and took it away.
And do you know how much he sold a battery worth about ₦120,000 for?
₦15,000!
Imagine losing a ₦120,000 battery overnight, then finding it in a battery shop the very next evening.
Thank God my brother had marked it, because otherwise, he probably would never have gotten it back.
