10 Years Ago VS Today 🌷 October 2016, I won Miss Macross at a Macross-themed convention, for singing and dancing Seikan Hikou and doing a skit 🎶 I was a kid, and it was the first time a whole room full of people went "KIRA☆" with me, and I'd say this was a career and brain chemistry changing moment for me ✨️🤟🥹 It showed me the joy of sharing my voice with others and standing on stage. I had never been to the con (always wanted to as a Macross fan) because I was so young with no means of traveling. But I made my way over there with the help of friends so I could try and win that Ranka Lee Nijiiro Kuma Kuma teddy bear that I'd always wanted (only a few were produced; there's a number on the foot) 🧸 It was the grand prize so I didn't expect to get it, but I wanted to try. And lo and behold, the judges liked all the love and passion I put into my performance the best, even if it wasn't the best technically. Since then, I've always been training to learn more and polish my performance in a technical sense, but putting heart and emotion first is always the priority. And I realized that singing on stage was what I wanted to do in that moment. Now look how far we've come 🥲 Though I'm always aiming even higher!! Think of how far we'll go!!! 💫 💚 Seikan Hikou at MacrossWorld Con 2016, and Seikan Hikou at Skyline Serenade 2026 🩷
