At 11U game, just saw a coach make a mound visit after 1st batter of the game (4-3 groundout) to berate his pitcher for some reason. Crap like this is why kids quit sports. Additional tidbits:
- Coach has on long sleeves underneath Belichick-esque cutoff hoodie. It's 91 degrees – at Newtown Grant, PA

What are you learning from watching college baseball?
✅Throw strikes
✅Throw hard & throw strikes
✅Hard non-strike throwers aren’t pitching….
✅2K approach matters
✅Get in the weight room
✅Be really good at your defensive position
✅Be able to bunt
You don’t make it to these programs wearing 2 oven mits, elbow guards, ankle guards, and go-pros on your helmet during summer ball
‼️Learn how to actually play the game
‼️Get in the freaking weight room
‼️Put the ball in play
‼️Throw strikes with your FB
‼️Throw a hard slide for K’s

Staples showed confidence in the SL - getting whiffs and weak contact. “Pimps the finish” with the recoil. Competes. Controlled delivery that I like a lot. Really good name to know going forward in se PA.

Roberts leaving a HOFamer to die on the mound could get the baseball gods back on @Phillies side. Phils in 5. #ringthebell

🚨 NO-HITTER ALERT 🚨
‘29 Samuel Nemeth (PA) tossed a no-no w/ 12 Ks & just 2 BB allowed. Got up to 79 mph & filled the zone up at a 65% clip. Showed adv feel for landing his depthy 1-7 CB as well. Wiry 6’0” southpaw worth monitoring.
