Gonna put this out here in public instead of responding to individual people. The best answer to fix the playoffs is the district model that was voted in then rescinded. Almost every state uses it for a reason. It works. Oh Texas loves their football. Why can't we be like them

New idea for the @IHSA_IL football playoffs. Do a 16 team playoff at each class. The IHSA also forms a bowl committee to establish bowl games just like the NCAA for all other teams. Imagine the winning coach of the @FattysDeKalb bowl getting showered in potato salad? Embrace fun!

Not a lot left to say really. It’s rock bottom in my 25 years of being an NIU fan and we still have 8 games to go. I think they’ll win a game or two but 0-12 is certainly possible. At least we know this era is coming to an end.

I understand we are broke, but I also hope the next head coach ends whatever this strategy is for only recruiting from lower levels in the portal too. That is quite clearly not working lol.

NIU football has gone from beating Notre Dame to not bothering to fill a head coaching vacancy, despite having months to do so, and letting the interim HC make baffling decisions, both personnel and in-game, in just over two years. 0-3 is looming. STF’s seat should be hot.

For all you young football players out there: 12 missed that tackle in the backfield because he let himself get flat footed when he met the ball carrier. If you find yourself in space, don’t wait for the ball carrier to come to you. “Buzz” your feet there, but don’t stop.
