Dems showed signs of life early on but the GOP structural advantage is just enormous, and Reps have days and days to keep expanding.
This is still a Dem shift from 2022 and 2024 so by NO MEANS can this slow down. That's the only encouraging sign for Dems so far

It was on this day in 1781 that the Continental Army, led by George Washington, delivered the final blow and defeated the British Army.
British General Lord Cornwallis (trapped at Yorktown, Virginia) surrendered 8,000 British soldiers and seamen to a larger Franco-American force effectively bringing an end to the American Revolution.
The demoralizing defeat led to the fall of the British ministry and culminated in the Treaty of Paris of 1783, which formally recognized United States’ independence.

The two races that could end the entire polling industry is in GA and NC. If cooper or osoff loses, the polling industry is finished.
Everyone and their mother in the polling industry agrees these two races are over before the vote. If they aren't, well there is no sense in reading any other poll. They cant even say "well we were close."
As a person fed up with pollsters, I'm hoping both go down in flames.

THEY'RE COOKING THE BOOKS ON EARLY VOTE REPORTING! - You might be seeing reports that Democrats are smoking their 2022 early vote pace. Don't buy it. Let me explain.
The headline says Democrats lead the early vote by 20 points, bigger than the 14 they led by in 2022. Scary number if you stop reading there.
Here's the part they bury. The Democrat SHARE of the ballots is down from 2022. It was 52% back then. It's 49% now.
So how does a smaller share turn into a bigger lead? The Republican number dropped from 38% to 29%, but those voters didn't go anywhere.
Nobody switched teams. A bunch of states that don't report party registration just got counted as "independent" this time, and that pile doubled from 10% to 22%. Same voters, different box!
One more catch. This snapshot is October 18. The 2022 number everybody's holding it up against is a week later, October 26.
Democrats almost always run up an early lead, and it shrinks as Republicans show up late and on Election Day. So they're stacking an early number against a later one and calling it a trend.
And remember, Democrats led the early vote in 2022 too. There was no blue wave.
These numbers tell you who mailed a ballot early. They don't tell you who won.
A ballot in the box is not a vote in the win column.

The veteran pollster looked straight at the camera and said Trump voters “don’t respond” to pollster phone calls. Then he dropped the real admission: “I got 2016 wrong… I believed in the exit polls.” Trump voters walked away, refused to talk, and assumed the whole thing was stacked against them.
Luntz is still skeptical right now. He says pollsters are measuring the wrong people — the ones who answer surveys, not the ones who actually show up. He warned they’re not even asking the three questions that actually predict turnout:
1. How interested are you in the election?
2. How often do you follow political news?
3. How often do you talk politics with friends and neighbors?
Most polls skip this. He can spot non-voters by body language alone — folded hands, looking around, zero engagement — and those people are still being counted.
In close races, missing even a small slice of Republican turnout flips everything. Luntz has watched this exact miss happen before. He’s not buying the current numbers. 👀🔥
Polls have been wrong on Trump voters since 2015. This is the same guy who got burned last time saying it again — on CNN.
