It doesn't matter if free will is real or not. If free will is not real and people are just very complicated input/output machines then rewards and punishments have the same effective value. Free will or no, sometimes someone just deserves to be hanged.

Not to break solidarity here, but if you're a young man that got a college degree and can't get a job doing what you trained for you can just apply for jobs doing something completely different. Licenses to so obscure shit like assess property taxes, sub teach, ect. are like $50

My dog is methuselian and has lost a lot of weight recently. He's out of weight to lose. He's still grooming himself and walking around fine but he's chewing and spitting out treats today. I never dreamed he would live this long but I'm afraid this is finally the end.
