JC Carmona

@UNMLoboMBB has a golden opportunity to energize its passionate fan base by bringing James Borrego home to Albuquerque. With years of experience coaching in the NBA, including as a head coach and assistant for top-tier teams, Borrego possesses the leadership, strategic mind, and player development skills needed to elevate the Lobos program. His deep ties to the community, Albuquerque Academy graduate and New Mexico’s large Hispanic fan base would create an immediate surge in excitement, ticket sales, and recruiting power. Heard from a close source, he is interested in the job and at least the very least, interviewing! Know him personally and talk about high character and would be long term hire as his family is here. Hiring Borrego isn’t just a nod to hometown pride—it’s a bold move.
