In times like these we must all rememember: "Love thy neighbour as though cephalopods were alien intelligences set to rise from the dark abyssal seas to enslave humankind."

Tory MPs just voted to plunge a million children into hunger. Britain has the wealth, resources and ability to ensure every single child has enough food. Imposing hunger on them is an act of violence.

That ruddy Sadiq Khan has forced Hammersmith Bridge to close, but don’t worry. You can still get across the Thames on Boris Johnson’s £53 million invisible garden bridge.

Kids are already pretty dependent on people giving them food to be honest Ben, I don't think that's a fight you can win
Gov has lots of responsibilities: supporting the vulnerable, helping people to help themselves, balancing the books. Not as simple as you to make out Marcus. Extending FSM to sch hols passes responsibility for feeding kids away from parents, to the State. It increases dependency.

The tall guy is the government's "Anti-Corruption Champion". Here he is, hobnobbing with bosses of a company that landed an extremely controversial govt contract. He's Dido Harding's husband. He's on the advisory board of a dark money thinktank, parroting industry talking points.

You haven’t got this quite right Chris. We asked for £90m - which is the cost of an 80% furlough & self-employed scheme. We were offered £60m - 66% of our ask, the same that pub staff in Heywood & Middleton are deemed to be worth. You can vote to change that today. Will you?
Greater Manchester MPs wrote to Andy Burnham today to express our concern about his failure to come to an agreement with the Government. The Mayor now needs to let Local MPs and council leaders have a go at getting a sensible settlement.
