Great to be at the Grand Opening of The Sycamores. What wonderful work carried out by Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council. I'm sure it will be used very well by the whole community!
For me, City of Culture 2029 is about far more than winning a title. Its about celebrating who we are, sharing our story with the rest of the country, strengthening our communities and creating a legacy that lasts long beyond 2029.....
According to the original timetable, we're in the final straight of the UK City of Culture competition. I've been reflecting on just how much this opportunity could mean for our city, particularly through the lens of the organisations I'm privileged to be involved with.
Then, the wonderful @IFMKfest , which demonstrates just how brilliantly our city can bring together arts, culture, creativity & communities. It has the potential to be a centrepiece of an unforgettable 2029, introducing extraordinary new experiences to residents & visitors alike.
At the heart of it all will be @CultureMK , whose leadership, passion and commitment will be crucial in bringing the city's cultural ambitions to life. I know the team is ready to show Milton Keynes at its very best. You can find out more: destinationmiltonkeynes.co.u…
So pleased to be at @DestinationMK 's Members' briefing today superbly hosted by @FormulaFast . However, I'm not talking about my lap time though. Should have stuck to Axe Throwing!🤣🤣
This is fantastic. What a wonderful thing it would be to win! Make sure you Back the Bid for City of Culture destinationmiltonkeynes.co.u…
Hey, @MarvelStudios , your friends at @cineworld have just made it potentially prohibitive for families and friends to come together and watch the most anticipated film of the year. They're having their own version of Doomsday. Have a word please...

@IFMKfest will take place from 16–25 July 2027, bringing its programme of international artists, performances and events to the city one week earlier than originally planned so as not to clash with Reggae Land 👏

Great news!
#MKDons are delighted to announce that as a show of support for the city's bid to become the UK City of Culture for 2029, the first team players will wear the official bid logo on the front of their playing shirts for all fixtures during August and September 🤝
A temporary addition for the early part of the season, the move comes as the city ramps up its efforts to secure the winner's spot.
