After 2 years , still no action from Nuclear for Australia to remove misinformation from their website .
What is the point of misleading people ?
This is one of a dozen misleading pages on their site .
Not good enough in my book !

Mario, you're missing the biggest story here. China's CO₂ emissions effectively plateaued in 2024 and began declining in 2025, despite continued growth in energy demand, industrial output and economic activity.
As I pointed out back in July, this isn't happening because China is consuming less energy. It's because its extraordinary deployment of solar, wind, batteries and EVs is increasingly displacing fossil fuels.
China has over four times America's population, dominates global manufacturing and produces much of the clean-energy technology the rest of the world relies on, yet its per-capita emissions remain substantially below America's.
At the current pace of electrification, I reckon China could plausibly reduce its annual CO₂ emissions by 10–20% by 2030.
You're looking at a snapshot of yesterday's emissions while completely missing the disruption transforming tomorrow's energy system.
And the irony? The world's largest emitter is also leading the technological revolution that could dismantle our dependence on fossil fuels. That's a far bigger story than Europe's paper straws.
xitter.cf/EVCurveFuturist/status…
This is a much bigger story than a 1% decline.
For the first time in modern history, the world's largest energy system — with more than 4.1 TW of installed capacity — appears to be showing a sustained decline in CO₂ emissions while electricity demand, industrial output and economic activity continue to grow.
This isn't happening because China is consuming less energy. It's happening because China is rapidly replacing fossil energy growth with electrification and clean electricity at unprecedented scale.
In just the past year, China added around 434 GW of solar, wind and storage, while electrification of transport, industry and buildings continues to accelerate:
🚗 Passenger EVs now dominate new car sales.
🚚 Commercial vehicles and heavy trucks are electrifying faster than most forecasts anticipated.
🏭 Industry is increasingly switching from fossil fuels to electricity.
🏢 Heat pumps, electric boilers and other commercial electrification technologies are scaling rapidly.
One year doesn't establish a trend. But if this decline persists, historians may eventually look back on March 2024 as the moment the world's largest emitter reached its true emissions peak.
The significance is hard to overstate: if a 4.1 TW energy system serving 1.4 billion people can grow while reducing emissions, then the argument that decarbonisation and economic growth are fundamentally incompatible becomes much harder to sustain. #Bettrification
"Potentially $50 billion if you include the transmission " -CSIRO costings "5 large nuclear reactors " 🤔 Misleading ! CSIRO costings don't include transmission Nuclear too needs transmission! So 2.5 nuclear reactors on paper or half a nuclear reactor in the UK!
@nuclearforaus
It is a bit rich young Will complaining of misinformation when his own website is a litany cherry picked half truths & lies .
@nuclearforaus
I was told I would need a level 2 charger when I bought the EV . Turns out I don't . The same people also told me it wouldn't be that much cheaper than petrol .
They were wrong again ! Have a read if you are interested
#EV
Google have signed a PPA to buy electricity from an existing (shuttered) nuclear plant .
That makes sense !
What google is not doing is spending $50 billion to build a nuclear power plant for first electricity in the late 2040s !
"Australia's nuclear debate must be based on the facts."
I support that 100% !
When are nuclear for Australia going to remove the blatant misinformation from their own website ?
@nuclearforaus
Australia's Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy should know better.
There's rising private investment in nuclear to help power data centres and industry worldwide. 14 of the world's biggest banks and funds have backed the pledge to triple nuclear power including Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Citigroup.

Is there any private investment today in new large scale nuclear power plants ? I don't think so .
The assistant minister should be more specific so as not to misinform .

You would think that Will by now would understand the difference between variable & reliable .
A solar panel doesn't generate at night .
A nuclear power plant doesn't generate during a refueling cycle for 6 weeks every 2 years
That doesn't make either source unreliable .
The Lucas Heights reactor was built almost 20 years ago , doesn't generate electricity , is about a tenth the size of an SMR & a 50th the size of a large scale nuclear power reactor & took 10 years from approval to opening .
Do you think it is relevant ?

Don’t we have an operating nuclear facility at Lucas Heights that is a medical and research reactor?
Can we use the construction time of this plant to understand what has already been done in Australia?
It could be deployed in 2028 , but then it could be the mid 2030s or maybe not at all ! .
When we know the costs per unit & there is a viable proposal it should be considered .
We are years away from that !
@nuclearforaus
Deployable Energy's Unity Nuclear Battery could be deployed in Australia by 2028, at the earliest, if the bans were lifted.
Aussie nuclear innovation is being sent overseas because of our ideological bans on nuclear power.

Well done to Will & Bobby for this interview .
When will Deployable have a prototype that generates electrcity ?

Fun fact: Australia's BESS and pumped hydro output over the past 24 hours (19.9 GWh ) matched a 1 GW nuclear plant operating at an 83% capacity factor.
Ross ,
We have been through this a number of times .
There is no government capital at Murra Warra .
Why the misinformation ?
What is the matter with the truth ?
@jrjohns10 @MalleeAg71414
10/9/26 The leadership of Australia is failing the Australians. Higher inflation resulting in lower living standards and no productivity is just appalling. The young people of Australia will be the first generation of Australians poorer than the previous generation. This must stop, politicians must be paid according to results, that means Daniel Andrews gets nothing, along with Jim Chalmers and Tony Albanese.

Squadron Energy get paid per MWh for the energy they supply to the grid & that is it ! There is no capacity payment .

The ALP's position on nuclear is quite clear.
There is no contradiction .
Nuclear is the most expensive form of generation & Australia has better alternatives.
We burn coal & gas as well as export them .
Labor won’t talk about the contradiction at the heart of Net Zero. They know this will come back to haunt them.
Australia has the world’s largest uranium reserves and nuclear power is banned. We are one of the world’s top LNG exporters. We hold the 3rd or 4th largest coal reserves on Earth.
There is no serious excuse for this except self-sabotage. People need to wake up.
Ross Johns again on a rant about Murra Warra . What is your problem Ross ? It is a wind farm that generates electrcity & sells it . There are NO secret payments to billionaires & it is wrong for you to keep pedaling this misinformation . @MalleeAg71414

5/9/26 transparency is required. How much money is being passed to billionaires and global multinationals?? Meanwhile small business and workers are ping to the wall.

Bipartisan action introduced the legislative ban on nuclear energy under Section 140A of the EPBC Act, and achieving bipartisan consensus will be essential to repeal it. Rather than re-litigating past policy, we should align with the (IAEA) Milestones Approach.

Australia's electricity demand is set to nearly double by 2050.
Electrification and data centres are creating pressure on the grid, that can only be addressed with every clean energy option in the mix.
