Verbal reinforcement learning is very effective for improving agentic performance on benchmarks, but we wanted to test how this transfers to robotics. We ran GPT 6 Astra, Gemini Argon 4, and Fable 5.1 on the LIBERO benchmark, and then iteratively developed skills which significantly improved performance. Full results linked in the comments

Met @lukedwagner12 & @MainwaringLuke on day 1 thanks to @FounderLaberge. Pareto Fellows, then YC, now launching @neomatterai. Every deal, every hire, every vendor ends up in legal’s inbox. They built the OS for it. Lawyer stays in the loop, everything else gets done. Congrats guys - to the moon!
Today we’re launching @neomatterai (YC F26), the operating system for in-house legal teams. Neomatter picks up legal requests wherever they come from (email, Slack, Salesforce, etc) and does all the work. Then the lawyer reviews, approves, and sends. We thought legal could use some change. Book a demo and see it for yourself!

Every robotics team is racing to deploy. Almost none can prove their policy works before it hits the real world. @ParetoHoldings is super proud to be first check in @runtimesi. Eval is the bottleneck for physical AI, and it’s on fire right now. Congrats @chennpeng and team!
🚀 Runtime (YC F26): The simulation and evaluation platform for physical AI Build realistic environments, stress-test robot policies across thousands of variations, and identify failures before real-world deployment. Building robots? We'd love to chat! Reach out to us at runtime.si

No secret that Boston is one of our favorite cities. Pareto fellows at MIT and Harvard, and the dozens of companies we've backed there. Wednesday Sept 16 we're back in Harvard Square with Rho, for an evening with founders and friends building out of Boston and Cambridge. No panel, no pitch. @CKraycik, @celiaccmx and @timsm_ are hosting. Come say hi.

Going back to Penn next week. Penn is where I learned how to build companies and met several of the people I still work with today. At Pareto we want to get to know the most ambitious people long before they look like polished founders.  If that’s you, come hang out on Weds Sept 9 at Huntsman Hall. Register below & tag someone who should be there 🙏

Did you know that humanity has never launched a spacecraft to another star? That is about to change! I'm super excited to share that my cofounders, @AdiOltean, @EzraFeilden, and I, have created a non-profit to attempt to send humanity’s 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿… and we need your help! We have formed a non-profit called The @FermiExplorer Mission with the goal of launching a minimum viable spacecraft to Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system, leaving in 3 years and arriving in around 80,000 years. We hope it will be both the first spacecraft to leave Earth for another star, and the last to arrive, as per this concept video! The mission is intended to make the idea of interstellar travel real, and to encourage more people to confront one of humanity’s biggest unanswered questions when we look beyond our planet: "Where is everybody?" (the Fermi Paradox) The mission has four high-level objectives: - Aim: To launch the first spacecraft to another star. It should get at least 99% of the way to the nearest star system, Alpha Centauri, within 80,000 years. - Payload: It should have at least a 1kg, 10x10x10 cm payload. - Schedule: It should launch before the end of 2029 - Cost: It should cost less than $15M to design, build, launch, and operate. The mission was planned with the help of the folks at @astrodigitalgeo, @MattGialich and the folks at @AstroForge, and @alexwg+@matthew_pines physical AI lab PSI, who devised the final mission profile. The mission will be executed by full-time program manager @GarrettJameson, who joins us after 10 years as a US Air Force Officer, in collaboration with a US bus manufacturing partner that will be selected over the coming months. We will need your help to complete the mission, so if the idea of the mission excites you, please check out the Fermi Explorer website in the comments to find out more about why we are doing the mission and how to get involved! Thanks to London Studio @ZeroOneCreative and @ashkan01C for producing the concept video 🙏🙏
