Well done to @WestLancsGC members Lauren Green and Zara Holmes @Lancashiregolf Ladies Championships. Lauren is in today’s final while Zara competes in the final of the Plate. Play well ladies! ⛳️

Wonderful live streamed ballet! What better way to spend a wet November Monday? Fantastic performances, joyous and uplifting. Well done @rbo_org 👏👏👏

Encouraging signs of a re-opening of Liverpool’s oldest surviving single screen cinema. Fund raising is going well but still some way to go to reach the £700,000 needed to avoid losing this loved icon of local history.

Stunning Sleeping Beauty by @ENBallet today @LiverpoolEmpire. Wonderfully pure classic ballet. Amazing dancers and orchestra 👏👏👏

Now redundant as a sunhat, but a new life as a table decoration!

Many thanks @ HeskethGolfClub for great welcome and delicious food at tonight’s Millennium Links Cup dinner. Congratulations to winning team @FormbyLadiesGC and commiserations to home club Hesketh, losing finalists. Well done everyone. 👏👏👏

Good luck to the teams in today’s finals of the Millennium Links Cup @HeskethGolfClub Special shout-out to the @WestLancsGC who are playing @FormbyLadiesGC in the semi-finals. COWL.

President Trump’s attendance at US Tennis Open forces thousands of fans to be delayed taking the seats they have paid dearly for. Stadium barely half full even after a delayed start. What a way for a leader to treat those he claims to represent. 👎🏻

Little greenhouse gleaming in afternoon sun. No sign of forecast thunderstorms here ⛈️

‘Acquired’ ⁦at last Goodison Park Premier League match, @Everton , our snippet of sacred turf has outgrown its little blue pot and is thriving in Woolton. 😂 COYB 💙

The garden is coping better with warm weather than I, and I’m not too worried about the lawn which will recover with rain, but I am now anxious that some plants will be lost. It is the driest period I can remember in 44 years here. 😱

Good luck to ladies representing their clubs today in the Frances Smith Trophy @WestLancsGC Enjoy your day of true links golf and play well everyone.

Remembering Gill on what would have been her 82nd birthday. We had our usual afternoon tea in the garden but this year there was a spare cup 😢

Just cut the grass, now for Adam Frost and this week’s @BBC2 Gardeners World.

Good luck to everyone @royalportrush for @TheOpen Best wishes to the five Final Open Qualifiers from @westlancsgreens A special shout out to Naoimh Quigg, former student member here @WestLancsGC now Ladies Captain @royalportrush Enjoy your special week. See you on telly N. 🍀

Not quite the same finish on the green in Woolton as @westlancsgreens sadly. I’ll keep trying.

Such a pretty combination of catmint, geums and polemonium courtesy of Bluebell Cottage Gardens. 👏👏👏

Sorry, but I can’t believe @SkySports opening credits for @TheMasters. 🤷🏼‍♀️Totally unnecessary schmalz. It is a brilliant sporting event which is always outstanding. Such sentimental treatment demeans it.

Great Sunday lunch today at Formby Golf Club. The food was delicious and the views of the course were as always superb. 👏👏
