Voted early in Texas today. Straight red up and down the ballot. 🐘
Saying “no” to Talarico is possibly the easiest ballot I’ve ever cast.
My teens are super interested in fully understanding the reformed faith I’ve raised them in, so tonight, we watch James White defend God’s sovereignty in a scholarly debate. @HwsEleutheroi
I feel pretty confident that sending this commie crap to families all over Texas is going to sink Talarico in November. #groomers
Brady Rogers has won himself a city council seat in Kelowna, BC (where I lived for 13 years).
I think it’s funny that he won. But, I’m somewhat suspicious that he’s possibly pretty far to the left.
Even though I’m pretty far right (further right than most Canadian politicians), I do think he would be fun to work with.
If Tom Dyas and the rest of the council can be as committed to fixing Kelowna’s problems as Brady seems to be, I think they could actually get some good things done.
But, probably not. 🤷♂️
Church Youth Retreat this weekend.
They had a gnarly rock wall and I’ve never tried this kind of thing, but I decided to just let her rip…
Seeing Demon Hunter rip through the 20th Anniversary of Storm the Gates of Hell. Yogi continues to be the dopest dude.
I’ve always checked out, returned key cards to the desk, requested a printed record of my stay/bill, and thanked the people at the front desk.
Doesn’t matter if the experience was amazing or terrible. Same routine.
My 9 worship music albums. For this one I focused on records that are inspiration for me as a church musician. I should mention that though I like this Tommy Walker record, my real pick is Generation Hymns Vol. 1 (Live) (Vol. 2 is also good), but that one didn’t show up in search.
Honorable mentions:
Robbie Seay - Psalms
Chris Tomlin -Arriving
Desperation Band - From the Rooftops
Don Moen - Give Thanks
Starfield - Starfield
John Mark Macmillan - The Medicine (while not at all a worship music album, Death in His Grave, Dress Us Up, and How He Loves are all fantastic)
Any Alan Jackson hymns record
Not easy. Could probably swap a few different albums if I thought about it more or was in a different mood.
I’m no papist (see Luther quote on my profile), but as an artist, this is correct.
In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.
Make no mistake. Talarico isn’t going to perform any miracles here, he’s just going to steal your money in an attempt to do these things.
When I go to polls, and I don’t vote for this guy, I’ll be doing it on biblical grounds.
