Had DaMon and Pat, two of my grad students, over for grilled cheese (Brie + cheddar + apples) and homemade tomato soup after church. Reflected on the sermon, shared insights, enjoyed rich conversation. Grateful for fellowship that nourishes both body and soul. #Faith #Community
Engaging session at YTN conference by @drjoshpackard Future of Faith. BIG Implications: youth ministry, church, and seminaries. Listening fosters growth more than preaching, judment free spaces, relational ministry, actively listening training, intergen. dialogue...
In DFW traveling with David Kanada to Lilly Endowment-FTE Youth Theology Network conference in Indianapolis. David had this to say about why he liked his grad program in sports chaplaincy @TruettSeminary. 👇
“Sports are rich for me because of the meaning making work I have done while apart of @FaithSportsInst . I see how the things I love impact who I am becoming and that by thinking about playing sports theologically, sports have a new meaning in my life.” Cosmic-sized gospel!

Final score: Michigan 19, No. 11 Alabama 13.
Per SEC directors of disinformation Kirk Herbstreit and Paul Finebaum, Alabama will be awarded the victory because their opinion is that SEC teams are better and scores of games don't matter.

Even when there’s an important outcome at stake, we can still take the time to appreciate the process. When you remain open to possibility rather than narrowly set on a single course of action, innovation can thrive.

There’s too much dubious, self-serving data on youth sports out there. Our @AspenInstSports tries to get it right. Please help shape the national dialogue on sports parenting by sharing your experience in our survey (closes 12/15).
Calling all youth sports parents: Please take the @AspenInstitute's national survey with @FamiliesInSport to help assess the role parents have on their child's sports experiences. The survey takes 15-20 minutes. #ProjectPlay
