This bears repeating. The gambling addiction frenzy of a young boy whose age was never verified by the sports betting apps that were taking his family's money.
Gambling addiction counselor says her youngest client is 15 years old and he spent almost $900,000 on FanDuel by stealing his grandmother's social security number. Insane. "He was betting all day during school, he was betting at night when he was supposed to be sleeping. There were so many different bets." "He had side bets going on in school with his peers... The way he would pay his bookies in school was to order Uber Eats for everybody, and he would pay them off with food." Video: odaatgamblingawareness on IG.

JUST IN: Elon Musk unveils the Tesla Roadster by launching it off a ramp before the car flipped in midair and safely landed on the ground. The car is a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX. One of the most insane things I've ever seen.

gamblingharm.org/advocacy-gr… "A coalition of leading advocacy groups is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reconsider a key part of its landmark 2018 Murphy v. NCAA decision. If successful, it could reopen the door to a federal prohibition on commercial sports betting authorized by states. Doing so could potentially save millions of Americans from financial harm linked to online sports gambling." Important action by @SPGambling, @NoGamblingInTX, & @AAPSonline.

Can't wait any longer for @oh_HOLMES to address the comment by Rick Jackson last night because MY PLUMBER’s wife drives a brand new E Class MB. In NYC they are called “Drain Surgeons”.

We agree! Great to hear this from Victor Wembanyama!
Victor Wembanyama was asked if he would ever sign a deal with a sports betting company: “Absolutely not. Honestly, I think it’s very sad to see some players promote it.”

Things like this happen to good people when the state brings commercial gambling into their lives. We do not need to invite this multi-billion dollar predatory industry into Georgia! Very sad story. @JonBurnsGA @RickJacksonGA @jasonanavitarte @VoteHarbin @DolezalForGA @StricklandForGA
HORRIBLE story of a former vet clinic manager who this week pleaded guilty to embezzling $624,000 from the West Virginia non-profit he worked for to fuel what he said was his online gambling addiction. He lost all $624K to online gambling. I dug through PACER, and there is no mention of which gambling platform(s) he used. His attorney hasn't responded to a request for that information. West Virginia has state-sanctioned online casinos, sportsbooks, and iLottery. It's also possible he used a prediction market, offshore or sweepstake casino. Court documents I read stated that Jerod Vannatter, 43, was making $110,000 a year. Vannatter is scheduled to be sentenced February 2027 and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. He also owes $624,599.86 in restitution.

Could someone explain to me why Donald Trump Jr would have a Russian businessman with a questionable reputation pay for his wedding party? Jr is making millions per month. Does he really need that or is he that disconnected from reality?

What self-respecting right-wing extremist group takes public transportation to a hate rally?
Masked marchers representing the white nationalist and fascist group Patriot Front arrived in Washington, D.C. on Saturday amid celebrations for America's 250th anniversary. Part of the group was seen boarding the Eastern Market Metro stop heading toward the National Mall.

I can fix #MARTA in 90 days. I will require every #MARTA employee (except the bus drivers and train operators) to ride the system to and from work. I will fix every fare gate in a week and Ill put one cop on each train starting tomorrow . MARTA management is a disgrace.

I am waiting for my order at Chick-fil-Missippi. I overheard a man talking to the cashier. He asked, “I’d like to buy something to eat, but all I have is $5.” Curious, I looked up and saw he was carrying a backpack and holding a $5 bill. He looked like he might be homeless or going through a tough time. As he checked the menu, he quickly realized that $5 wouldn’t be enough. The cashier started offering him suggestions, and he placed an order. When she asked what he’d like to drink, he paused, thinking about it, and then she surprised him by saying, “Don’t worry, your breakfast is on me.” I took this picture because it moved me. She could have asked her manager for help or given him only a small item, but she didn’t—she simply told him it was on her. In customer service, I’ve had some of the best training, including Dale Carnegie, but in a brief three-minute exchange, Karina, a Chick-fil-A employee in Jackson, Mississippi, reminded me of the true value of kindness and caring for people. It’s not just the food that makes this place special; it’s people like Karina who do. May God bless her with the same love and kindness she deserves.
