”Last night, while waiting to board our plane, our daughter Carter was being her usual inquisitive self wanting to meet and say “hi” to everyone she could, until she walked up on this man.
He reached out and asked if she wanted to sit with him.
He pulled out his tablet and showed her how to draw with it, they watched cartoons together, and she offered him snacks.
This wasn’t a short little exchange, this was 45 minutes.
Watching them in that moment, I couldn’t help but think, different genders, different races, different generations, and the best of friends.
This is the world I want for her.
In a country that is so deeply divided by beliefs, I want her life to be filled with moments like this... not liberal or conservative republican or democrat, socialist or capitalist, just HUMAN.

BREAKING: Donald Trump melts down after E. Jean Caroll announces that she is amending her successful defamation lawsuit to seek at least another $10 million in damages due to the smears he lobbed at her during his CNN interview.
Trump took to Truth Social and insisted that he doesn't know Caroll and "never met her or touched her" except once "on a celebrity line with her African American husband."
"I wouldn't want to know or touch her," said Trump. He insisted that he "never abused her or raped her" and it's a "Fake, Made Up Story, that she wrote in a book."
"IT NEVER HAPPENED, IS A TOTAL SCAM, UNFAIR TRIAL!" screeched Trump.
In another deranged post, he falsely claimed that the "Carroll case" is part of the "Democrats playbook to tarnish my name and person" and is "being funded and tried by Democrat operatives."
Of course, Trump did sexually abuse her, and that's why she was awarded $5 million in damages in court.
By repeating the exact attacks that cost him the original case, Trump has set himself up for another defeat. This is cut and dry. He has defamed her again, and he must be forced to pay the price.

BREAKING: Democrats send shockwaves through MAGA world by revealing that ActBlue — the primary fundraising platform for the party — raised a whopping 25% more in donations in the first quarter of 2023 than it did during the same period four years ago.
There were 1.4 million unique donors totaling $218 million.
What this news means is that Americans are even MORE motivated to defeat Trumpism now that Donald Trump is out of the White House and running for reelection. They know how bad he is and never want him in power again. Republicans were desperately hoping that Democrats had grown complacent.

Is anyone else completely exhausted by the onslaught of breaking news?
We need to figure out how to connect away from the cycle. Avoiding long-term problems—for which there are viable solutions—leaves us feeling isolated and apart from each other.
I’ve been realizing, more forcefully over the last few weeks, how much gets forgotten or pushed to the side when we’re constantly dealing with the latest outrage or trauma.
It feels like we’re so at the mercy of current events that we can’t give our attention to the far-reaching consequences of some of the legislative and judicial decisions that are upending so many lives.
This country has never dealt properly with its mental health crisis and, in the wake of COVID, the incidence and severity of psychiatric disorders will only increase. Failing to protect our children from gun violence, putting the health of pregnant people in the hands of those who do not value life, and leaving victims of rape and incest—even young girls—to the mercy of men in power who do not care about them is to exacerbate an already critically misunderstood and poorly-funded problem.

BREAKING NEWS: Yahoo News drops bombshell, reveals that Elon Musk's Twitter is now “amplifying” the Twitter accounts of Russian war criminal Vladimir Putin, his allies, and his closest associates.
Shockingly, Yahoo reports that “the findings suggest” that Twitter CEO Elon Musk is deliberately “lifting the restrictions designed to reduce the Russian state's social media reach, brought in after the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.”
A former Twitter executive says that it was likely a change in Musk’s policy for those accounts to be amplified again, declaring that, “It would be exceedingly unlikely that this change would have happened accidentally, or without the knowledge and direction of the company.”

"The House GOP continues to attempt to undermine an active investigation and ongoing New York criminal case with an unprecedented campaign of harassment and intimidation. Repeated efforts to weaken state and local law enforcement actions are an abuse of power and will not deter us from our duty to uphold the law. My 2023 advice for all young engineers:
Respect a running system. There are reasons it works that way, most of which will be uncovered when you try to replace it.
Make incremental changes, don't burn the building down.
No one way doors. Never be unable to rollback.
Also with regard to conducting this kind of migration, this reminds me of several failures when #automatedtool sales people tried convincing #leadership to buy their tool only to eventually fall implementation. I've been a part of 3 difficult instances of this kind of failure. – at San Diego, CA
