The UK is facing a severe pub crisis...
From April, pubs with £100,000 rateable value will see Business Rates jump by £19,000 per year.
They'll need to sell an additional:
60,000 pints a year.
Thats 1200 pints a week.
Thats 170 extra pints every single day.
Thats before rising energy bills, rising wages and other costs.
Survival won't be an option for many.

If I hear one more racist say “they’re invading our country” & “they don’t share core British values,” I’m going to remind them of how invading countries used to be a core British value

Petr Cech spent 8 hours watching Bayern Munich's penalties before the UCL Final.
5 years of analysis, he dived the right way for 6/6 penalties and saved 3 of them.
He was so good, they made him do a drug test right after the game 😮💨

.@LidlGB's fast-growing chickens are disease-prone, requiring heavy antibiotic use. @thetimes reports their chicken meat is contaminated with antibiotic-resistant superbugs. This is extremely alarming. #LidlGermScandal

Utter rubbish. Please stop peddling Treasury nonsense @thesun.
A duty freeze does nothing for #publicans or pub goers, it only benefits big breweries & producers.
If you really want to save #pubs you’d be calling for direct support & a VAT Cut.

If Hospitality don't get a VAT reduction in next weeks Budget, The Chancellor @Jeremy_Hunt will knowingly be allowing 1000's businesses go bust, meaning 10,000's job losses.
Decimation on his watch.

Every single Hospitality venue across the UK is being crucified or closed by untenable energy bills.
Yesterday British Gas posted record profits of £751 million.
10 times the previous year of £72 million.
Anyone else angry? Morning @ofgem.
