While the number-crunchers continue tabulating, we note that Tay’s latest campaign has included incredible pure-sales numbers from vinyl, CDs, cassettes and digital downloads (reportedly amounting to 2.7m on day one) as well as monster streams—Showgirl’s 12 tracks have occupied the tippy-top of @Spotify since they sashayed onto the scene, cumulatively accounting for 250m streams in the first 24 hours. To further electrify the already frantic Swifty army, the megastar and marketing wizard offered, for one day only, a “Deluxe Dressing Room Rehearsal Edition” of Showgirl, featuring—get this—songwriting voice memos. @taylornation13
